POLISH WEEKEND 10 th MAY 2008

I’ve played in Poland about 10 times & every time has been pretty great, but I’ve always wanted to play in the north, near Gdansk. So this time finally I would get to see Gdansk & even better, play at the Sfinks club in Sopot which was 1min walk from the beach… wooo hooo! :)

I was met at the airport by Dj Choody, Dj Athar & Osmo… the promoter of “Feed Your Need”, the party I would play that night in Sopot. I met Osmo the last time I played in Poland in Tychy, which was exactly 1 year ago to the same night!! I couldn’t believe it was exactly 1 year ago that I had played in Poland. The year had gone so fast!

Anyway we chatted & relaxed, enjoyed the sunshine & got ready for the party. I had a really good feeling about the party & when I saw the club I knew it would be a great night. I really really liked the club, it was old & had a really good vibe about the place. One good sized main room to fit about 300 people & a second smaller bar area that had it’s own mini fountain in the middle of the dancefloor that would fit maybe 100 people. I loved it.

DJ Choody who by the way also designed the awesome poster! started the night with some cool techno. Funny enough I went down to the beach for some fresh air & when I came back into the club Choody was playing a track… I said to my friend Pawel… “hey I know this track” & he said “ya I know it too but can’t think of the name”… so I walked up to have a look at Choody’s record & it was “Tramyard Vibes” my track I made with Rhythm Technologies… so funny… I’m so silly I didn’t even recognise my own track! Me & Pawel just burst out laughing.

Dj Mainliner from Wroclaw was next to play & he is an awesome Dj. Check him out if you can. He always plays a great set. Up until this point there wasn’t many people in the club, even the streets & beach were empty… then all of sudden the club was packed! Next up was my turn… I was really psyched up & ready to rock the party as I love Poland & always enjoy my gigs here & especially when I had met 3 girls from Scezin who had driven 5 hours to hear me play… well I wanted to give it everything!

I totally enjoyed my set, all the equipment & sound were wicked! I gave it 110% Dj Clodagh energy & rocked the party…so much fun! The Polish are a really great crowd to play for… really up for it & loads of fun… they know how to party! J

I didn’t want to stop playing but Osmo was next up… He played a terrific live set of all his own material… really awesome stuff… lots of energy & it rocked the place too. Next door I went to check out my mate Dj Athars minimal & electro set, it was really good. Loved it & so did the people dancing.

After the party, we went down to the beach to recover & talk & laugh & be totally entertained by Miss Marylou! … probally one of the funniest girls you’ll ever meet in your life. I had pains in my face from laughing so much.

Overall it was another Top TOP weekend in Poland. Like I said I’ve played in Poland about 10 times now & I think this was one of my favourite gigs! Thanks so much to Athar, Osmo & Aga for looking after me so well & for all the laughs!

I want to play here again sooooooooon, pretty please!!! :)
