SLOVAKIAN INTERVIEW ....MAY 2008

Hi Clodagh Im really glad that we will see you after nearly 2 years again. During your first visit you performed in tiny club. This time it will be in much bigger. Is it any difference for you how to serve music?

Hi Breeth! Thanks for the interview, yes I can’t believe it has been 2 years since I played in Slovakia. I can’t wait for Saturday night! For me it doesn’t matter if I play in a small club or a big club, as long as the party people want to dance & the sound system is good, then I always give 110% & try to rock the party the best I can! J

Is there any music style change for Clodagh since 2006? If yes...which direction?

Music wise, I play music that makes me move. I probably don’t play as hard as I used to but still play good pumping techno. Lots of energy, lots of good music & lots of fun!

I noticed that you started with production... Will we hear something from your production during your gig in Slovakia?

Yes I have made some great collaboration tracks with 2 producers… Ali Wilson (UK) & Rhythm Technologies (IRE). I will definitely play some of my tracks… “Mechanized” got huge support from Carl Cox & Sander Van Doorn & it always rocks the party so I’ll definitely play that & maybe “Scream” too & some others, I’ll see how the party is going!

What other professional plans has Clodagh for rest of this year?

I had a small break from Dj gigs in the last 6 months as I was doing a music production course in London. So my plans now are to play lots of cool gigs & focus on making lots of cool new tracks… J

There are djs who jump and do crazy dance behind...and then others who has cold face during their time on stage. What is closer to you?

I love watching Djs who LOVE to Dj! When I see a Dj really enjoying themselves & playing for the people, that makes me really happy & I pick up on the Dj’s energy.

I like to have fun when I Dj, I like to have fun with the music & fun with the people. I get a lot of energy from the music & I can’t stop dancing… so yes I’m the crazy dancing Dj.

Do you have any dream you would like to achieve in djing?

My Dj dream is just to be the best Dj I can be & rock parties all over the world. I also want to produce lots of great tracks & keep being as creative as I can be. I would love to play LIVE some day. Just playing all your own material LIVE must be an amazing feeling.

A huge Dj dream of mine came through in 2005 when I got to tour with Carl Cox, I would love to play with him again some day. That would be great!

Do you have any favourite place to play?

I love playing in Eastern Europe. I think the party people are the best there… I played in Poland last Saturday night & it was excellent. I loved my gig at Apokalypsa in Czech in February & I really love playing in Bulgaria! …mainly because of the people… they dance like crazy & like to have fun. For me that’s what a party should be about…listening to great music, dancing like crazy & having lots of fun.

You performed few weeks ago in Brno. Many Slovaks visitors there named you as number 1 of that night. What can people expect during your visit of Slovakia..?

That’s great news, I’m really happy that people enjoyed my set at Apokalypsa party in Brno, I thought every Dj played a wicked set.

What can people expect from me in Slovakia? … Lots of pumping high energy music!

Make sure you bring your dancing shoes & lots of energy to the party because it’s going to be rocking!

See you on the dancefloor! Xx :)
